조의 위로 표현 영어로 조의금액

회사에서 email로 *** 어머니가 돌아 가셨다고 메일이 왔다. 지금 나의 매니져이고 함께 점심 먹는 친구이기에 조의 위로 문자를 보내고 싶었는데 막상 떠오르는 말 중에 예의를 갖춰서 보낼 영어 표현이 생각이 나질 않아서 정리를 해봤다. 

 

받은 이메일: 

Condolences for ***'s Immediate Family Member

Dear Colleagues,

We have just been notified of a sad news that ***'s mother had passed away.

On behalf of the team, we want to extend our sincere condolences to him and his family for their loss. 

For those who wish to contribute to the condolence money, you may PAY to him at mobile by XX. 

 

삼가 고인의 명복을 빕니다. 이렇게 문자를 보내고 싶어서 구글이랑 네이버에 검색을 해봤다. 

 

1. I am so sorry for your loss.  //삼가 조의를 표합니다. 이게 제일 친숙해서 이렇게 문자를 보냈다.
2. My/our condolences on the passing of your father/mother/friend.
3. Please accept our sincerest condolences. We are thinking of you. 
4. Please accept our deepest sympathy. //심심한 조의를 표합니다. 
5. It’s terrible to hear about your loss and I express my sincere sympathy to you and your family
6. I was so sad to hear of your loss. My condolences.
7. [insert name] will never be forgotten. We will treasure our memories of him/her and offer you our condolences.
8. Please accept my condolences, just know that I am here for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out, especially during this difficult time.

Note: Condolences 는 명사인데 복수를 사용한다고 한다.

 

조의금을 얼마를 보내야 할지 몰라서 Singaporean 친구한데 물어봤더니 한국이랑 비슷하게 조의금은 홀수로 보내고 3일장 5일장 문화가 있는지 이기간 안에 돈을 보내야 한다고 한다. 그래서 언제까지 돈을 보내라 이렇게 메일을 보낸다고 한다. 조의금을 $10, $15, $30 이런식으로 보낸다고 한다.
